Jason Glushon '16 Discusses the Business of Sports

On February 13, 2024, Loyola Law School's Entertainment & Media Law Institute (EMLI) partnered with the Transactional Law Institute (TLI) to host "The Business of Sports”.  The lunchtime event featured a captivating discussion with Jason Glushon ’16. Glushon is the president and founder of Glushon Sports Management and is renowned for his outstanding accomplishments as both a businessman and sports agent.

Glushon provided students with a unique opportunity to gain insight into the role of a sports agent. He also shared anecdotes about his professional experience. Glushon shed light on the intricacies of the business side of sports, offering invaluable lessons and perspective for aspiring legal professionals and sports enthusiasts alike.

Glushon serves as a prime example of leveraging a law degree in a competitive industry where a JD is not required. He pointed out the advantages, mainly in negotiating and reviewing client contracts. Glushon’s accomplishments serve as a testament to the caliber of education offered at LLS and how graduates can utilize their legal education without pursuing a traditional legal position.
