Richard Powers, Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic

The Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic recognizes Richard as an outstanding student for his dedication and commitment in working with pro se debtors.  During the two semesters that Richard participated in the Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic, he assisted with intake of potential bankruptcy cases through Public Counsel’s debtors assistance program, and completed the requirements of qualifying clients through the bankruptcy process under the Bankruptcy code. Richard showed an understanding of the issues that arise in different bankruptcy cases.  He was outstanding during oral arguments in front of United States Bankruptcy Judge Sandra Klein.  Richard is a great student and will be an exceptional attorney.
