Loyola Law School, Los Angeles' Doctor of Juridical Science (J.S.D.) is a research-based advanced law degree for Juris Doctor and Masters of Laws graduates interested in becoming legal scholars or pursuing a teaching career in law. In this program, students work closely with a faculty advisor who specializes in their area of interest to produce a publishable and presentable dissertation exploring and advancing legal scholarship in a specific area of law. These faculty advisors are nationally recognized and have published in top law journals including The Harvard Law Review, Stanford Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review and University of Chicago Law Review, are quoted in top media-outlets including The Washington Post and New York Times, and have written influential casebooks and treatises used by lawyers, judges and students.
