The Transactional Lawyering Institute helps foster connections between and among students, law firms and companies through several channels.
TLI coordinates closely with Loyola’s Private Field Placement Program to identify opportunities for students to gain real-life firm and in-house experience in transactional practice, while earning units in the process. Students in the Corporate and Entrepreneurship Concentration often receive priority on transactional opportunities due to the doctrinal and practical foundations in business law they are receiving through their dedicated courses of study. Through the Private Field Placement Program, prior Corporate and Entrepreneurship Concentration students have enjoyed stints at Encore Law Group, Weedmaps, Dreamscape Immersive, Silicon Beach Legal, O&A, PC and more.
Loyola offers additional opportunities for students to gain in-house and law firm experience, including through the Technology Internship Program, or TIP. TIP offers employers an opportunity to recruit students for the summer. Interns partake in mandatory practical skills training taught by Loyola Law School professors and practicing attorneys in the technology area.
