Whelma Llanos has been a Deputy District Attorney for 23 years and currently serves as the Assistant Head Deputy for the South Region of Sex Crimes Division.  As part of her position, she oversees the  Human Sex Trafficking Section.  She is a graduate of Loyola Law School and received her undergraduate degree from UCLA.  During law school, she served as a summer clerk for the Honorable Ricardo M. Urbina (retired) of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. She was previously Vice President of the National Asian Pacific Islander Prosecutors Association.
