Emily Chai has been a Deputy District Attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office since January 2013. Ms. Chai is currently assigned to the Sex Crimes Division, Human Sex Trafficking Section, where she prosecutes street level human sex trafficking, pimping, and pandering cases occurring throughout Los Angeles County. Prior to being assigned to the Human Sex Trafficking Section, Ms. Chai was assigned to the Victim Impact Program out of the Torrance office, where she prosecuted various crimes involving vulnerable victims, including victims of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and child and elder abuse.
