Corina Hernandez is a survivor of domestic violence and sexual exploitation. She believes in using her lived experience to empower others. She is passionate about spreading awareness to her community, churches, and schools regarding human trafficking by sharing her own experiences and journey of healing. Mrs. Hernandez has a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis on substance abuse. She is currently furthering her educational background as a student at UCR to obtain a Paralegal certification. With this extended education, she will reach her goal which is to become a strong advocate for those incarcerated, while intersecting the focus of the demand on sex trafficking to obtain a solution for those who are impacted and harmed by this issue. She is also a panel speaker with STEPP: Sex Trafficking Education and Prevention Program, which is a diversion program created, and run by the City Attorney’s Office. Her heart lies within a strong belief that everyone deserves an opportunity at rehabilitation and success.
