Marco Castellon '20
Founder of Castellon Flores Law
Marco Jairo Castellon Flores '20 was born in Nayarit, Mexico. At six months old, he and his parents crossed the border to California, where they built a new life.
Castellon remembers feeling helpless as a child when his parents lost their case to remain in the United States and again as an adult when his parents were deported. His desire to help his parents and those in similar situations fed his desire to become an attorney and help those who feel similarly helpless. After graduating from Loyola Law School, where Castellon volunteered at the Loyola Immigrant Justice Clinic, Castellon started his own practice, Castellon Flores Law, which specializes in the range of issues that most impact immigrants: immigration, contracts, discrimination and personal injury. One of his greatest satisfactions is providing legal support and advice to vulnerable people confronting predatory litigation practices.
Castellon is a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient and most recently was granted Advanced Parole to visit his family for the first time since he arrived in the United States.
