Information about requesting legal services
Our clinics, located in Downtown Los Angeles, are here to assist youth and community members with legal needs. The Juvenile Justice Clinic (JJC) provides free legal services to children facing charges in delinquency courts throughout Los Angeles.
The Youth Justice Education Clinic (YJEC) provides education advocacy and legal services to youth who are involved in the delinquency system and encounter any issues in school. Our clients are represented by holistic teams of advanced law students, supervising attorneys, and social workers.
Both the JJC and YJEC also specialize in representing children who are or have been involved in the child welfare or foster care system. If you're seeking legal services, please call us at (213) 736-8100. Screening personnel will contact you within 24 business hours. Applying for legal services will not automatically result in acceptance of your case.
If your child or a family member's child is arrested, wanted by the police, or contacted by the police and they do not have a lawyer, immediately call the above number.
