Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution Landlord/Tenant Options Counseling Project
LCCR has created an Options Counseling Project to assist both landlords and tenants in navigating the new post-pandemic landscape from eviction notice to post-judgment options, including Mediation/Conciliation, as well as important information on the moratorium deadlines. As we know, knowledge is power and we want to make sure all our callers have all the information they need to make an informed decision about what is the best route to resolution, which may include referrals to legal service providers.
In order for a tenant to use the pandemic as a defense in an eviction case for unpaid rent, the tenant must register for rent relief. Tenants and landlords can learn more at Housing is Key: https://housing.ca.gov/
