Prof. Levenson discussed pro se representation with KPCC-FM
On Nov. 29, 2012, Professor Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor, was quoted by KPCC about why some criminal defendants forego attorney representation, and the affect their decision has on the trial.
"They think it’s bad that they have a government lawyer representing them when they’re being prosecuted by the government," Levenson says - and hastens to add, that's a mistake ... I think they're fairly delusional that they think they'll be effective."
