Prepare to Practice Workshop Series

You can be practice-prepared in just three easy steps!

1. Participate in Quiz Week

Are you prepared to practice?  Find out by taking a five-minute quiz!  Quizzes are available at the Library entrance between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m from Tuesday, January 22nd through Thursday, January 24th.

Turn in a completed quiz and receive a Diddy Riese cookie and an entry for our daily raffle.  You could win a $20 gift card just for testing your legal research skills!

2. Talk to Practicing Attorneys and Law Librarians

Not quite sure what research skills you'll need to practice in a law firm?  Ask our panel of practicing attorneys and law librarians!  The panel will be in the Library's Southeast Reading Room on Thursday, January 31st from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.  We'll even provide a free lunch!

3. Hone Your Skills by Attending a One-Hour Workshop

Still not quite ready for practice-level research?  Attend our Prepare to Practice workshops! Reference librarians will teach you the skills you absolutely need for practicing law.  All workshops are offered twice each day, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the CRC room 205 (Rains Second Floor).

You can sign up for the workshops online, at the Reference desk, or by emailing Stephanie Der.
