Fidler Institute on Criminal Justice to feature panels on cutting-edge criminal law issues

Loyola Law School is hosting its seventh-annual Fidler Institute on Criminal Justice on Friday, April 26 on its downtown L.A. campus. Each year the Fidler Institute on Criminal Justice addresses hot-button topics with nationally renowned members of the legal community. The day will be capped by a judges’ reception and the presentation of the Fidler Awards. Learn more here.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Judy Clarke, Defense Counsel, Clarke & Rice and Visiting Professor at Washington & Lee University School of Law 

Judy Clarke is a renowned criminal defense attorney. She is one of the top lawyers in the country for defendants facing prominent death penalty cases, having represented clients such “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski and Olympic bomber Eric Rudolph.

She’s considered a “master strategist in death penalty cases”

The United States District Court in Phoenix, Arizona assigned Clarke as defense counsel to Jared Lee Loughner, the perpetrator of the January 8, 2011 Tucson, Arizona shooting.
