Disability Accommodations
Loyola Law School complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended. These Acts prohibit discrimination on the basis of Disability Accommodations.
Reasonable accommodations are available to meet the needs of individual students. In providing reasonable accommodations, the Law School reserves the right not to waive any requirements essential to the curriculum or to the Law School's educational mission.
Students requesting accommodations must provide supporting documentation. Requests for accommodations can take up to 4 weeks to review. Thus, students are strongly advised to begin this process immediately in order to ensure that needed accommodations are in place prior to the start of the program.
Loyola Students may contact Office of Student Affairs at 213.736.8151 or StudentAffairs@lls.edu. Students from other law schools should contact the appropriate office at their home institution. Please submit accommodation requests and supporting documentation to Debbie Esparza at Debbie.Esparza@lls.edu.
Accessibility
While Costa Rica has established accessibility standards, overall implementation and enforcement has not been consistent. Thus, disability accessible facilities are available, but are limited.
The University of Peace’s facilities are accessible to most individuals with disabilities. However, there may be certain areas of the campus or aspects of the extra- curricular activities that may not be accessible or easily accessible. Faculty and staff will make every effort to meet the needs of individual students in these situations. Please contact Debbie Esparza at Debbie.Esparza@lls.edu with any accessibility questions or concerns.
