Graham Sherr, Esq., Assistant Dean of Employer Engagement
Graham Sherr is a 1980 graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and has been involved in legal recruiting and career counseling since leaving law practice in 1982. His combined legal experience as a law student and attorney includes stints at a state agency, two public interest programs and a large Los Angeles law firm. Prior to joining the Career Development Office in 1994, Graham spent nearly 12 years as a "legal headhunter," placing attorneys in major Southern California law firms. In addition to counseling students and alumni, Graham works to expand the Law School's network of employers.
Marla Najbergier, Associate Director
Marla Najbergier has worked with the Career Development Office since 1999. She is responsible for counseling students and recent graduates. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and worked as a recruiter for seven years prior to her time at Loyola. She uses her extensive knowledge and experience working with students, graduates and employers to help increase employment prospects. She also coordinates the Resident Associate Program (RAP), working with small and mid-sized firms as well as corporate legal departments to hire recent alums.
Jolene Horn, Esq., Associate Director
Jolene Horn graduated in 2006 from Loyola Law School’s evening division while working full time as the school's Recruitment Coordinator in the Career Development Office. After law school, Jolene practiced litigation at a large, international law firm, Jones Day, for six years, and at a mid-sized trial-practice firm, Yukevich Cavanaugh, before starting her own solo practice. As an Associate Director, Jolene utilizes her legal and career services experience to counsel students and graduates on identifying career goals, drafting and revising resumes and cover letters, polishing interview and networking skills and formulating job search strategies. She is also the solo-practice liaison.
Jill Myers, Esq., Assistant Director
Jill Myers received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1994 and earned her B.A. in English and American Literature from Brandeis University. A Los Angeles native, Jill began her law practice as a litigation associate at Loeb & Loeb. After several years as an attorney with large firms, she transitioned to the field of legal recruiting and career counseling. At Loyola, Jill applies more than two decades of experience to assist students and alumni in articulating career goals, crafting search materials and mastering interviewing and networking skills.
Kandice Kim, Esq., Assistant Director
Kandice Kim received her J.D. from the University of Southern California in 2013 and earned a B.A. in Art History from the University of Southern California in 2009. Kandice was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP for three years before joining the Career Development Office in 2017. As Assistant Director, Kandice counsels students and alumni regarding job search strategies and application materials, and assists them with honing their interview and networking skills.
Megumi Horinouchi, Director of Data & Operations
Megumi Horinouchi has been a member of the Career Development team since 2007. Megumi serves as the department data analyst, reviewing information from students, graduates, and employers to assist students and alums in their job search. She also works closely with the administrative team to coordinate recruitment programs, plan events, and execute other office operations. Previously, she served as the Recruitment Coordinator and the Assistant Director of Recruitment & Operations. Before joining Loyola Law School, Megumi worked at UCLA where she earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Sociology and Asian American Studies with a minor in Education.
Arion Rogers, Programs & Communications Coordinator
Arion Rogers joined Career Development in the summer of 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from UC Irvine, with a focus on Global Society and Culture. Prior to Loyola Law School, she served as a Peace Corps Ambassador for the UC Irvine campus where she assisted students in preparing for life abroad. As the Programs & Communications Coordinator, she organizes many of the Career Development Office events and workshops and oversees the weekly department newsletter.
Katie Mori, Recruitment Coordinator
Katie Mori manages the On-Campus Interview (OCI) program, job announcements, and Loyola Law School's reciprocity program. She also supports the Career Development staff with various projects. She earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from California State University, Monterey Bay. She is a proud member of Psi Chi and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
Linda Whitfield, Esq., Senior Assistant Dean for Student Services
Linda Whitfield received her J.D., Order of the Coif, from Loyola Law School in 1992. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1987. Linda practiced law at Perkins Coie and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and worked as a volunteer at Legal Aid in Atlanta. In addition to being a member of the Career Development team, Linda oversees the Career Development Office, Student Affairs, and the Registrar.
