The Hon. and Mrs. Otto Klaus and Peggy Kaus Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Hon. Otto Kaus Endowed Scholarship. All gifts in any amount are appreciated.

Otto M. Kaus attended Loyola after serving in the United States Army during World War II. He was first in his class from Loyola in 1949 and received the William Tell Agler Award, given annually to Loyola's most outstanding student. He went on to practice law at Chase, Rotchford, Downen & Drucker in Los Angeles and was one of the initial authors of California's Evidence Code. He taught law at Loyola Law School for over twenty-five years.

At the age of 42, Otto was appointed to the Superior Court by Governor Edmund G. "Pat" Brown. He was quickly named to the California Court of Appeal, and from 1981 through 1985, he served as Associate Justice on the California Supreme Court.

Scholarship support is critical to Loyola Law students. Your support of the Hon. Otto Kaus Scholarship is greatly appreciated.
