American Bar Association Moot Court Competition Team
Sponsored by the ABA, the National Appellate Advocacy Competition (NAAC) offers students the opportunity to argue complex federal, civil and criminal appeals. The NAAC emphasizes the development of oral-advocacy skills through a realistic appellate-advocacy experience. Competitors participate in a hypothetical appeal to the United States Supreme Court.
In 2012, Loyola’s teams were semifinalists in the Seattle Regional Competition and won Best Brief and third place brief. This is the second year in a row that Loyola has won the prize for Best Brief and the fourth year in a row that Loyola has advanced to the final round of the competition.
